This was based on the British Railways Mark 1 corridor all-steel coach.
The coach was molded in three main parts, the body, roof and bogies. The body and roof were diecast in the white metal alloy zamak. The body was mounted on the the bogies, which were diecast in a steel alloy, made up of two pairs of flanged wheels. Later production replaced metal wheels with plastic.
The body of the coach with had cut-out windows. There were doors at each end and one in the middle. The doors had cut out windows too. There were corridor doors cast at each end. There was a truss rod frame under the middle of the body. Window detail included filled in sliding ventilators at the top. Door details showed door handles. Bogie detail included the side frame, leaf spring suspension and axle boxes. The roof had roof vents cast down its length.

One side of the coach had what appears to be the toilet compartment at one end, evidenced by a filled in round window.
For coupling, the two bogies had different castings, the leading one had a pin and the trailing one had a towing slot.
The body was painted crimson, the roof was silver. There may have been a production run painted in southern green, which was another livery used with the Lone Star Treble-0-Lectric version. The body was painted prior to assembly.
Assembly was achieved with each bogie mounted on a crossbeam near each end of the coach. The beam had a short post with cupped ends, which were peened over to hold the bogies in place. The wheel sets on the bogie were held in place by crimped lugs. The roof was clipped into place.
The coach roof had ‘LONE STAR LOCOS’ and ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ cast in high relief on the underside.
